Start with your store name and, if you want it printed, your address or phone number. Give the receipt a number — even a simple running count like 0001, 0002, 0003 makes it easy to keep track of transactions later — and set the date and time, which defaults to the current moment but can be changed for a backdated receipt.
Add each item sold using the "Add item" button, entering a short name, quantity, and price. The subtotal updates as you go. If sales tax applies in your area, enter the percentage in the tax field and it will be calculated automatically and added to the total. Select the payment method the customer used, and adjust the footer note if you want something other than a simple thank-you.
The preview on the right is styled like a narrow, thermal-printer receipt, so it looks correct whether you print it on receipt paper or simply hand the customer a photo of it. When it's ready, choose "Download Image" for a quick PNG to text or share, or "Download PDF" if you need a file to print or file away.
